I discovered something . . .

As unbelievable as it may seem - I, the person who doesn’t have a clue about anything to do with computers or the web, discovered something rather cool.  It is BookCrossing, a site for a global book sharing program.  People tag their books after reading them with a number provided by the site and then release the book into the big wide world.  People then record when they capture and subsequently release the book for the others to read.  Check it out at

I was thoroughly impressed by the concept, and love what it says about us as humans that we are finding ways to communicate with each other no matter our beliefs or backgrounds (you tube is another good example of this). 

 I haven’t quite decided yet whether I am willing to release one of my own books.  A touch of the “Preciousss” ala Golim from lord of the rings.  But surely there must be something on my shelves I am not too attached too and who knows what other people out there are just waiting to read something new . . . .
