I thought that Police Squad television show was hilarious. Tom Shales, the TV critic for The Washington Post believed that the series was excellent. His theory was that the show had so many verbal and sight jokes that some of the TV audience missed a lot. That might have accounted for its low ratings.
My friend Mike and I talked about this all the time at my last job, and how much we LOVED the freeze frame end shots. I sent these over to him hoping to make his day.
This series was before its time, I think.
