A great bit of news to pick up what turned out to be a really long, tough week.
I started reading That Night after discovering it via the Pittsburgh Women’s Blogging Society, and I became a regular reader almost instantly. I was struck by the honest, endearing style and the engaging way she tells a story. Anything from just a walk through campus to childhood memories long past becomes a journey that you take with her. Intermingled in all that are funny stories that will make you laugh out loud. Seriously. Not to mention she was one of my sisters-in-arms during the grueling month of November that was NaBloPoMo.
The good news? She’s been nominated for a 2008 Bloggie in the “Best-Kept Secret” category. For many bloggers in Pittsburgh, it’s not that much of a secret. And those that are in on it are voting for her in droves. If you’re not reading it, you should.
Then you’ll vote.
Why? Because this secret needs to get out.

Woy,
I dont know whether to be more thrilled at your kind words or that you’re blogging again. :)
Without Pittsburgh Bloggers, I wouldn’t be nearly as in touch with these incredible people, such as yourself.
Thank you for all you’ve done for the Pittsburgh blogging scene, Woy. I am indebted to your great ideas.
I’m so comletely flatterered. Thank you, again
So glad you’re spreading the word. I’ve been using my Mommy blogging powers to get the Fussypants fans to vote Rachel as well. If That Night doesn’t win (as deserved), it won’t be for lack of trying.
Sounds like she’s giving an acceptance speech, Mike.
Actually, I really like “That Night” — Rachel seems like a very nice young woman.
Judge – She’s a very gracious and humble young woman. I think her blog is more than worthy of the Bloggie, and a nice representation of writing here in the Burgh.
