After being nearly pilloried for not having seen The Big Lebowski many years back, and my stepbrother’s abject horror that I’d never seen the Godfather or Godfather II in 1998 when I stayed with him in Philadelphia, I’ve always tried to be conscious to see movies that are strongly recommended to me.
Examples- Mrs. Woy told me to watch Casino, which I really throughly enjoyed. Canadian Brother of Woy suggested that I watch The Big Kahuna and High Noon. Both were quality flicks.
I give to you, in no particular order, ten movies that I really should see but have not yet.
Fight Club: If only to “get” all the references, quotes, and other nuancese that people often cite in this movie. A recent Twitter conversation started this whole list.
Cool Hand Luke: I have my co-workers at my last job to thank for wanting to see this.
Citizen Kane: I’ve seen pieces/parts of this movie over the years, but I’ve never sat down (like I did with Mr. Smith Goes To Washington) and watched it from beginning to end.
