Lego My Personal Time

Normally when a new Massive Multiplayer Game (MMOG) comes out I usually don’t pay much notice. It really has been a fair amount of time since I played any sort of MMOG: The beta test of Ultima Online back in 1996. Way, way back I played multiplayer games back when having two-four people on a BBS (bulletin board system) was a really cool thing to do… and I racked up some serious bills playing on some of GEnie’s multiplayer games.

When I see the announcement that Lego is coming out with Lego Universe – it’s the first time in a long while something has given me, my wallet, and my sense of personal time pause.

In reality – I know I won’t sign up for it but it’s fun to imagine – and be scared for a little while.

Bonus fact: This was the first lego set I ever had and it was my absolute favorite for a long while.

Classics in Lego

On June 8, 2008, in Art, by Woy

You’ve probably noticed that I like legos. They were my second favorite toys growing up (right behind Transformers).

Gizmodo features a Flickr photographer who is recreating famous photographs such as the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima, the Chinese protester in Tiananmen Square, and V.J. Day in Times Square in a collection called “Classics In Lego”.

Really cool. Check them out!
