I miss old Busta Rhymes.
Friend of the Sandwich and all-around cool entrepreneur Lynsie sent a message over announcing the launch of ShowClix’s mobile ticketing service. For those of you who don’t know them, ShowClix is a great little startup founded right here in Pittsburgh that helps you find shows as a show search engine but also allows you to buy tickets (and offer tickets if you are a band)! Here’s the skinny on their upcoming party:
After months of hard work, I’m excited to announce that ShowClix is ready to launch our new mobile ticketing service – woot woot! And to celebrate, we’re bringing one of the best indie rock bands around to Pittsburgh – TOKYO POLICE CLUB!
When fans buy tickets to see Tokyo Police Club with special guests (and Pittsburgh favorites) Donora and Lohio – for the first time EVER – ShowClix will deliver tickets directly to their mobile phones! This is the next generation of ticketing and we’re very excited to debut it in our hometown of Pittsburgh.
Here are all of the show details…

Tickets: Buy them here – http://www.showclix.com/shows_listing3.php?event=4
I’ve never seen this band before, but I’m planning on going down. Hope to see you there!
If any of you are looking for something cool to do tomorrow (Friday) night and want to come down an see a great band, stop down at Club Cafe to see PKP (formerly known as Pete Killed Pete). My co-worker is in the band, and I (as well as others) have characterized them as Foo Fighter-esque. The band is releasing their new acoustic CD, and you can see them for the low, low price of $8.
The doors open at 6:00, with PKP going on at 8:00. If you plan on coming down, drop me a line and I’ll make sure to look for you. Seriously, considering coming down… it’s right next to Jack’s on the South Side!
